Myself and 5 other artists had the opportunity this year to create a poster for Yellowstone National Parks’ 150th anniversary as part of a national advertising campaign. I was assigned Old Faithful Geyser as the focal point of my piece and used its supernatural pull to guide this piece of artwork. This is a series of illustrations I did for the Color of Change’s People’s Coalition for Manhattan DA Accountability. I was tasked with illustrating a series of demands that a website was then built around to highlight distinctions between and among the Manhattan’s District Attorney candidates to ensure that all of Manhattan was fairly represented. This report by the Color of Change was built to show connections between private entities and police funding. The project was a huge lift, with many people involved. As one of the graphic designers on the team, it was my job to distill complex datasets into easily digestible graphics, charts and tables while keeping within the overall project aesthetic. This summer I was selected by the Boise Arts & History Foundation as a featured artist and had the opportunity to design a custom-wrapped traffic box in town. ‘The Gem State’ was a fun and whimsical way to honor a bit of Idaho’s history and mythology. This past summer, Las Jaras Wines held a design contest asking their fans to create a piece of art based on their experiences drinking their wine. My entry depicts what I think goes on inside the bottle when no one is looking and I was lucky enough to win the contest with this animation! Exploring motion graphics and animation has been my main COVID downtime activity and I’m loving the amount of expression I can add to my art when I can make it move.

In early 2019, I was fortunate enough to be selected as a national finalist in ABSOLUT Vodka’s international Illustration competition. The rules were simple- feature the brand’s distinctive bottle silhouette in an image that conveyed fun and exploration. This was the most fun project I have had the opportunity to work on in quite a while. Usually, a wide-open brief can present its own set of challenges because there are so many directions to go in, but right from the get-go, I knew where I wanted to take this one. Aliens, man.

I created this series of pull quote illustrations and supporting graphics for The Color of Change’s #changemusic initiative website and social channels. The initiative is dedicated to eradicating racism and addressing exploitative practices in the music industry and was featured on the Recording Academy of America’s website and social media channels as well as on the Grammys advertising in 2021. The Old Bills Fun Run is Jackson Hole’s biggest non-profit fundraising event of the year, routinely raising over $10 million for non-profit organizations throughout Teton County, Wyoming. The Teton County Library Foundation and I partnered up to create the “Stayed for the Library” campaign, that highlighted many residents’ reasons for being attracted to the wild, western beauty that is Jackson Hole. We wanted to create a fun campaign that resonated with as many different people as possible while still emphasizing how integral and important the library is in people’s everyday lives in JH. Due to the campaign’s wild success, it has now run for 4 years, with new variations of these stickers coming out every season. Next time you’re in Jackson, keep your eye out and you just might see one stuck to your favorite brewery silo or friend’s water bottle.

Since bandanas are all the rage these days, I worked with Jackson Hole’s Community Radio station, 89.1 KHOL to create this pyscho-western design for their 2020 pledge drive. Reach for the sky, pardner.

Chances are, if you’ve been in Jackson for a while you’ve probably had a friend or two participate in the Cabin Fever Story Slam- Jackson Hole’s live storytelling event. The branding for this series was a lot of fun to work on and involved creating a group of flat illustrations that collage into one ‘story’ that lets the imagination run wild. We had the logo letterpressed in to chipboard coasters and printed on trucker hats that have served for years as a coveted prize for the winners of each story slam.

Summer of unrest. Pandemic lockdown. Like many other artists, I lost a lot of clients in 2020 and was looking for a way to use my newfound free time and talents to try to make an impact on what was going on beyond my doorstep. So I created this shirt and donated 100% of the proceeds to the ACLU. The campaign was successful in my eyes in that it raised money and put this image out and about all over the country.

See, I can work in vector too! I will admit, a lot of my work lives in the photoshop realm, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like a clean line every now and then. Part of my job as the Teton County Library’s graphic designer is to create their annual report and make people actually want to pick it up and read it. So in 2014, I made the commitment to use as little actual words as possible. It was such a hit, that the library has been using this template ever since!

I created this motion graphic as a practice exercise as I dive deeper into Adobe After Effects . Wine Folly was my gateway into learning about wine and I took one of their still infographics on chenin blanc and added a little motion to it!

‘Davey the Deer’ started with humble beginnings. In 2016, I designed the deer biking and reading for a library t-shirt and it became such a hit that he’s been the mascot of Teton County Library’s Summer Reading program several years running. Each summer, Davey has gotten a new look and a new theme- from the summer-of-love-inspired ‘Rock and Read’ to the spacey ‘Read for the Stars’. Davey has been able to connect to readers of all ages- inspiring lots of fun and discovery along the way.

What happens when a group of designers and artists start planning a trans-california bike trip? We make an identity package of course. (And then we get too busy with work to actually take the trip)

During the 2018 Fall Arts Festival in Jackson, WY, I was selected to design and wheat paste a mural on town square. I felt inspired to create an alternative tourism poster based on John Steinbeck’s quote, “We do not take a trip, a trip takes us.” The spirit of ‘travel’ is alive and well here and its fun to approach what traveling really means on a deeper level.

Maven is easily my favorite locally-owned Boise shop. It features handmade and vintage goods from the area and is run by 3 of the most badass women you could imagine. I designed this sticker in conjunction with an art show that I had there in December 2019. Go see them!

Jackson Hole’s Community radio station, 89.1 KHOL has been a fixture in the valley for 10 years now, bringing a vital infusion of music from both local, regional and world-wide acts. As part of their 10 year anniversary, I designed this logo to bring a little bit of fun to the year’s celebration. The logo made its way on to shirts, stickers and all the promotional materials made during their 10th year in operation.

I made this little reading character animation as part of the Teton County Library’s COVID-19 re-opening campaign. Browse, borrow, then boogie on out of there!

This was a fundraising campaign born out of the pandemic and wanting to do my part in the fight for social justice awareness. I created this button and had it printed to give out at marches and rallies, and sold them on my website with all proceeds going to the Color of Change.

“Wild, Wonderful Wyoming” is a 5 color screen print that I designed and printed for a group show at the Sally Centigrade Gallery in Denver, CO that featured a poster artist from each state making artwork inspired by their place of residence. Bonus: This was printed in florescent ink and really comes alive under blacklight. It was aa featured work at the Denver Comic Con’s 2018 poster show.

I typically try to get off the computer around the holidays and make something with my hands. One of my all time favorite holiday items were these felt coasters that I designed and screenprinted, which sold at holiday fairs and at the Aspens Market in Jackson, WY. I’m a sucker for midcentury anything!

This project was a collaboration with Jackson Hole Painter Katy Fox, who designed the owl label for Jackson Hole Still Works' Great Grey Gin bottles.  Wild Iris Press worked with Still Works and Katy to come up with this promotional poster which was then screen printed in house.  

This sticker design was part of a campaign that I developed for the Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance to spread the word about winter wildlife closures in the back country.  This campaign was aimed at skiers, snowboarders and snowmobilers in an effort to reduce human impact on wildlife in critical winter habitats.  The campaign includes stickers, print ads, web ads, signs posted in the back country and bus advertisements.  

While working for the Teton County Library, they approached me about creating a vinyl mural that could live over the ‘New Books’ area, drawing attention to the latest additions to their collection. I came up with the concept for this piece by creating a story in my head that featured many topics one might find in the New Books display; from fiction to natural history, to sci-fi and fantasy.

Created for Roadhouse Brewing Company for the 2016 Amber Waves beer and art festival.  This event brings artists and breweries all over the country together to make artwork in conjunction with brewing beers.  For our poster, "Stone Village Swamp Man", Roadhouse Brewing created a sour brett called 'Primal Soup'.  Many beers were consumed in the making of this poster. 

Commissioned t-shirt design for the Teton County Search and Rescue.  We are lucky to have this fearless bunch based in our small community of Jackson Hole.

This spring I had the opportunity to work with the Jackson Hole- based bluegrass band, One Ton Pig on their latest album, Parade of Song. The band wanted to convey a light and jovial feeling with their album art, so we settled on this gigantic floating pig, surrounded by throngs of cheering fans.

Official sticker design for the Contour Music Festival 2015. The goal of this sticker was to promote the festival’s sense of fun and spontaneity, while tying it to a sense of place as well. And nothing says that quite like a space raven.

I was lucky enough to be selected as a featured artist for a special edition of Jackson Hole Stillworks’ Eclipse edition of Highwater Vodka to honor the total solar eclipse that passed over Wyoming in 2017. The design was inspired by astrology and featured gold foil which we had printed on the adhesive side of the label so that the spirit itself distorted the image as the bottle was turned.
